About five years ago, Shiuwen Tai (floatingleaves.com) introduced me to a very wonderful farmer/producer in the old Muzha (木柵) region of northern Taiwan.
 
Through visiting Mr. Zhang (張先生), I’ve learned a lot, and also received one of the most flattering compliments of my life: “This handsome young man really knows his tea!”  I still work hard to live up to his kind words.
 
In this session, I’ll give you a brief introduction to the characteristics of this incredibly deep, soft-yet-bold style of Tie Guan Yin (鐵觀音), and bring you through tasting three vintages of his productions from the past 16 or so years.
